In January 2024, Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy launched a new mass media campaign titled ‘Consequences’ at the inauguration ceremony of ‘National Road Safety Month.
The campaign is focused on warning people of the dangers of not wearing helmets and urging two-wheeler riders as well as passengers to always wear helmets and strap them properly.
‘Consequences’ features two brothers riding a motorcycle, illustrating the stark contrast between riding without a helmet and wearing one. This campaign highlights the potential consequences of not wearing a helmet while on a motorcycle.
